I now exclusively use Syncthing for my syncing. I have an RPI always on at another location where everything is backed up, and I sync my documents, images, and other files between my laptop and smartphone.
It works great and was super easy to set up!
How is Mapy compared to Organic Maps on mobile?
Every time I hear about PieFed it’s because a feature that Lemmy should have was already implemented on there…
That is so dystopian, holy shit… I mean, if you see it as something people would want/need, then yeah, that sounds good. I don’t know if such a thing exists, though. This link shares some things, features, and apps that maybe do some of what you’re talking about.
Well, I do suspect that, mostly, this is due to the a lower supply of the local brands. They’re smaller brands with a smaller customer-base, so naturally they’re stocked at lower numbers in the stores. Now that there’s a surge in interest, it’s much easier for them to get sold out. Coke, on the other hand, is huge, and lots of people are expected to buy it, so there’s a much larger supply that may appear to be untouched, when indeed the shelves were simply arranged to look as full as possible by the clerks, as is common practice.
Good to see that there’s more interest in local brands though!
People are recommending good European brands — which you should definitely check out! — but I’d like to also recommend buying second-hand.
It’s cheaper, better for the environment, and you don’t have to worry about supporting American companies; Even if you buy from an American brand (Wrangler, Levi’s…), the money is going straight to a fellow European citizen and to whatever platform/website you buy it from, so you just have to make sure to use a European platform such as Vinted.
It might not be as convenient as buying straight from the brand, but it is better.
I know you weren’t asking me, but Matrix kinda sucks, from my experience as a user. IDK what it is about it, but it’s just so weirdly clunky? IDK if that makes sense. Also, I believe there’s no video calls?
From what I’ve read, hosting Matrix is hard and resource intensive too?
Trust? I don’t trust any politician… Here in Portugal we’re almost certainly going for early elections because the government is gonna fail a confidence vote…
Yup yup… A little scary though…
Well, yeah, be kind and post!
