I wouldn’t be surprised if they get a class action suit over security/data violations.

I wish I could just keep upvoting this.
I’ll add, want to see your average person roll their eyes and say “nope”, just tell them they have to manually edit a bunch of config files to get going. How much about your car do you need to know to start your car and get somewhere?
I was going to suggest Canada or Greenland…
Mine are excellent listeners. They just can’t respond anymore though.
I bet they have a bad sense of taste. Probably complain at every restaurant.
I waited about 6 months and I’m using the same email and devices. It felt like I had a temp shadowban when I was back on but after about 2 months that seems to have gone away.
I avoid getting pulled into fights now by blocking users and subreddits that are obnoxious.
You don’t, you wait it out until they stop blocking that IP or email. New account.
I got a new account after my old one got banned but now I never challenge the echo chamber. I just ban/block obnoxious subs and users to avoid the temptation. I stay mainly for some interest groups there and local subs.
Saw one mod in a sub bragging about how they banned lots of users for challenging a post and they were getting cheered on. Wonder if that is in line with reddit’s policy?
Similar to the argument Intelligent Design (anti evolutionists) use. They always point to fossil gaps and say “Well, what happened there?” You have no control over what gets fossilized and where you can find them and there will always be a gap somewhere. “Well there is a gap on Tuesday, 67,000,000 BC!” There is no possible way to fill in every imaginable gap with physical evidence vs seeing patterns and development across those gaps.
You always have to balance it with law enforcement. Being at the mercy of criminals, life savings stolen by scammers, etc is not freedom.
I knew the whole idea of letting a company get your genetic fingerprint was a bad idea from the start. Being curious about my ancestry wasn’t worth it.
Surprised to hear stability questioned. We have RHEL systems at work that have been running 24/7 for over a year.
