There’s a difference, I think, between instances moderating as they wish and blocking entire instances. That should really be the last resort.
Just let mods be mods, there’s no need to turn this into some kind of Lemmy civil war and start unpersoning your enemies.

So I have had similar experiences with liberal instances. Why is it okay for my comments to be removed and for me to get banned for acknowledging that NATO encirclement of Russia exists or that the Euromaidan was a coup or that the US/NATO sabotaged ceasefire negotiations early in the conflict or that the goal of the war is to kill as many Russians as possible?
I accept being treated like this, because I understand that when I’m in lemmy.world or other liberal instances I am going to be speaking out against the liberal consensus. It’s their instance, they can moderate how they like and I accept that.
So when I see lemmy.ml doing the same thing to liberals it’s hard for me to see the problem.
Please link to a specific example and don’t dump a gish gallop of stuff on me that I have to sift through myself. What I see is a lot of complaining about Rule #1 which specifically says to be civil and nice, and people being banned for not being civil or nice. Nothing unreasonable about it.

Lemmygrad’s moderation if quite strict so I can understand why liberals wouldn’t be interested, and hexbear doesn’t shy away from personal attacks on liberals, but lemmy.ml seems very reasonable to me.

It makes tactical sense to partner with liberals in some contexts, like a national liberation struggle, and to put aside lesser contradictions to focus on the principal contradiction. It doesn’t make sense to partner with liberals while under capitalism, especially not within the imperial core. The liberals in congress don’t have a shared goal in stopping fascism.

Partnering with liberals is idealistic. They always stab you in the back at the first opportunity.
We aren’t chimpanzees. As persistence hunters, our kinds of territorial disputes would have been very different and early humans were likely very nomadic rather than settling into territories that fight. In times of scarcity we’d just move on to different lands.

Well, yeah, those are the gods I hate. I used the term “almighty” as a shorthand for “god that created literally everything.” They created everything including non-physical concepts like good and evil. You’re basically just describing a Big Bang with a personality, which isn’t really in the category of gods I hate. That god just made cool stars and rocks and stuff, it didn’t really make everything. Rather, the rocks spontaneously came to life and started suffering without input.
Biology, genetics and environmental causes.

We are, actually. We didn’t ask to exist. It was forced onto us by a cruel god that thought it would be neat to make humans.
If we think back to the dumpster baby, god created a child and threw them in a dumpster. For fun. It doesn’t get to wash its hands and say “I don’t owe them anything, it’s up to them to survive.” It’s still responsible for creation and it is derelict in its duty.
Who is responsible for birth defects? For natural disaster? For sickness? These things aren’t choices and we aren’t responsible for them, they happen because god created a cruel world for us to suffer and die in. God created the dumpster and threw us in.
I think you misunderstood - God is the one throwing the baby in a dumpster.
Imagine you intentionally become pregnant, give birth to a child, and then throw them in a dumpster. That’s the god you described.
