They’ll still hate Tesla almost as much as they hate you, Elon. They won’t suddenly start trusting Xitter or Starlink, either. Just shut up and go away.
I used to use reddit constantly, and did so for years. That level of hostility took over so gradually that I didn’t even consciously notice. I used Lemmy for a few weeks before it really sunk in that nobody had jumped down my throat over a minor, irrelevant issue (like a careless punctuation or grammatical error).
People here tend to give each other the benefit of the doubt, which had become virtually unheard of on reddit. Even when people make replies I don’t agree with, they’re usually discussing the point rather than the way that point is presented.
I will never, ever go back.
If they’re “unarchivable”, how are they online in the first place? At some point, the data sets were broken down so they could be read and searched via computer. Why can’t that information be backed up?

Yes, there’s something lost, but there’s something gained as well. By linking to things, we can refer people to a source without sending them to the library. We can show others photos or diagrams without having to carry them around in our pockets all the time. We aren’t bound by time or distance.

Um, Apple and Meta have no rivals, at least not in terms of reach, profitability, and power. That’s the problem.
Both sides put a lot of effort into reaching a mutually acceptable deal. I’m a LONG way from rooting for Iran, but I understand why they’re pissed.
I wonder: how much it is genuine loss of interest, and how much of it is the result of a president who’s sending mixed messages about EVs? Sure, he had that ridiculous ad for Tesla on the White House lawn, but he also ended plans for expanding the federal charging system. Mango Mussolini loves fossil fuels, thinks climate science is bullshit, and isn’t shy about saying so.
