If there is no retaliation, then there is no incentive to stop the tariffs on the USA side. Even if that wasn’t trump, it’s logical.
A del would imply he’s good at negotiation. He isn’t. He’s good at leveraging people, but mostly that’s been illegal. If he was good at deals, he wouldn’t have messed up international relations, which is deal making, but more complex. He’s a rich kid that fell upwards and inspired a cult following through sheer luck.
Because it wasn’t his business. He was a paid ‘actor’. It was as real as other reality TV. Unfortunately, he believed it to be true and his confidence inspired confidence. Hence the term.
I think it’s a valid point that the concern being raised about tik tok is just as valid with other apps, both from Facebook or Twitter etc and from overseas apps. People are happily giving up their data and don’t see a distinction in how it is being used for disinformation by different state actors. It’s all misinformation.
People are apathetic to the risk, but also don’t see the risk for foreign government snooping as significantly higher than internal snooping.
My understanding is that the board is held in a trust format to ensure editorial independence. They often do advocate for policies that would be beneficisl for all, and not the 1%
Of late, both times they supported trumps opposition.
They are one of the few internationally respected organisations that actually have news outside Europe and America, that’s not business news from Japan or china.
It may not be for you and every news source is biased in some way but I find it quite balanced.
