Apparently Esperanto was considered at one point by the League of Nations, I wonder how popular it would be now if it was adopted

English is a bad option for an IAL imo, and I dislike how it has become so dominant in this aspect, Esperanto has its own flaws however, if the EU were to adopt an IAL there would have to be a lot of considering

Basically do what the US did in the 50s?

The reality is, people will be using Linux on Windows hardware, people won’t build special computers just for Linux or buy a premade Linux computer, they’ll flash Linux on their Windows computer expecting it to work and get annoyed if it doesn’t, the person in the post is making very valid points and those issues should be worked on
