100 percent true. But I disagree that almost no one can do it. I think lots of successful people do it. I mean, the ones who went through a LOT of failure before they reached success.

I personally have done it in my life regarding a few things. Stoicism is a great resources for doing this, in my opinion anyway.

Basically you can’t always control shit that happens to you, but you CAN learn to control how you react to it.

Most people on Lemmy aren’t as kind or open-minded as they like to appear. There’s plenty of hate here on this side of the aisle, but it gets excused because they believe they’re “on the correct side.”

To be honest, I don’t take any politics very seriously. I realize that Lemmy has a more tech slant that attracts peoples who’s brains work, um, a little different. And more on here are apt to get fixated on something.

But i’m not one of those. So many here make politics their entire identity. I don’t.

It’s fun to discuss here and there. But my real life is just about fucking women, chilling with friends, fucking around with AI stuff and enjoying life.

I think Lemmy takes politics WAY too seriously and way too personally.

Most politicians suck. Most aren’t really looking out for us. So I just do my own thing.

Wikipedia articles and science news articles. I keep rotating through them to clean up my browser, but each article has more links I wanna read. I need to take a day and just read them all already! lol
